On the fifth day of December I watched HBO's Carnivale on DVD for the umpteenth time, then wished they didn't discontinue the series on a cliffhanger.
Gah! Hate that!
Strange, surreal program...one of my all time favorites. Maybe a bit like Twin Peaks. Too weird to properly describe; suffice to say that it is unlike anything else I have ever seen. Mysterious and just brilliantly acted.
HBO cancelled the series after season 2, just when the proverbial shit was hitting the fan.

I so want to watch that show. Have been hesitant to buy it since I haven't known anyone who had seen it. Guess your recommendation now puts it on my list of dvds to buy. :)
I have never seen this show but it sounds intriguing!
