During my month away from Blogger, my family went to Las Vegas to celebrate my stepson's high school graduation.
It was exhausting, but fun. We had over 20 people for lunch at Friday's, and a swell party at our friends' house in the evening. Now I am not much of a drinker, but I do occasionally enjoy spirits. I partook of much Johnny Walker Red Label with my mother, as well as copious glasses of Merlot. Oh, and happy hour margaritas by the Orleans Hotel pool while knitting :) Drunk knitting...fun but rather unproductive.
George Carlin was performing at the Orleans, where we stayed. I've seen his act before, and we didn't take in this engagement. Evidently it was his last public performance before he passed away. I loved him in Jersey Girl and Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back.
