Barnraising: Prologue


So the contractor's coming to layout the barn today.

Yes, it's going to be red.

Half of the barn will house electrical supplies, but the other half will have 4 stalls for This Spinner's best friends--namely: Ollie, Ringo, Hazel & Myrtle.

No, they won't each get their own stalls. The alpacas will--they spit and upset one another when confined too closely together.

The angora does are happy to stall-share.

Therefore, one of the empty stalls will serve as a bay for the storage of hay, feed, etc. until Dew can get a small hayloft rigged.

Oh, and we're putting in a basketball hoop.

Hi Sandra, was just wondering, I am making a quilt based on an Amish pattern called a barn raising log cabin. My version is very colourful so definitely not Amish tradition, but I was wondering if you knew why they call it Barn Raising. It looks like concentric diamonds to me.
